Lance Larson- Instructor
With a professional career involving firearms and spanning more than four decades, Lance offers a unique and comprehensive perspective on firearm use, safety, and responsibility. His experience bridges the entertainment industry, public safety, and civilian firearm self-defense, giving him a well-rounded understanding of the technical and practical aspects of handling firearms.
Hollywood Armorer: As a Property Master/Armorer in the motion picture industry for over 40 years, he trained cast and crew in the safe handling, realistic presentation, and controlled use of firearms in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
Law Enforcement: He also served for 10 years as a Police Officer with the LAPD, gaining real-world insight into the practical application and legal realities of firearm use.
Instructor Certification: A USCCA member since 2021, he formalized his commitment to responsible gun ownership by earning his instructor certification. Driven by a lifelong passion for firearms, his mission is to empower students with solid foundational safety skills and the critical decision-making abilities needed to protect themselves and their loved ones.
He provides training for all experience levels—whether someone is new to firearms or looking to refine their skills—in a supportive, safety-focused environment designed to build confidence and competence.
Jon Hunt-Chief Engineer
With more than 43 years of professional experience, Jon is a Senior Engineer and Scientist specializing in advanced technical design for weapon system development in the defense industry. His work spans a wide range of cutting-edge technologies—from tactical missile systems to next-generation directed-energy platforms—where he has served as a principal contributor, technical leader, and subject-matter expert.
Defense Expertise: He has led the design, analysis, integration, and testing of complex defense systems, applying deep expertise in system architecture, modeling and simulation, guidance and control, sensors, and hardware-in-the-loop environments. He collaborates closely with cross-functional engineering teams, program managers, and government customers to deliver high-performance systems that meet demanding operational needs.
Patented Inventor: He is the sole inventor of the patented Weapon Emulator System, the core technology behind the T-Gun™ training system.
Training Advocate: As a USCCA member since 2021, he developed the T-Gun™ out of his passion for safe and responsible firearm handling. The system provides a realistic, safe, and cost-effective training capability for civilian firearms users and law enforcement personnel, improving proficiency and judgment without the risks or costs of live-fire training.
